About me

Hi, I’m Lissa - a watercolor artist with a lifelong love and soul connection to all animals. I grew up surrounded by pets of all kinds and have spent years volunteering with shelters and working with dogs and cats. Each one has reminded me just how special the bond between humans and animals can be - and that’s what inspires every portrait I paint.

When I paint memorial pieces, I light a candle for the pet as I work. It's a small way to honor their life and the love they shared. My goal is to create a keepsake that feels alive with warmth, memory, and personality - a gentle reflection of your beloved companion.

The process

Every portrait is hand-painted on handmade deckled-edge watercolor paper, which has its own unique character and texture. Because each sheet is made by hand, there may be a slight variation (up to about half a centimeter) in the final size - one of the many things that makes your piece truly one of a kind.

All portraits are bust only (head and shoulders) unless you select the Full Body Add-On, which is available for the 8×10 size.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose Your Size
    • 2×3" mini— $50

    • 3.5×5" — $100

    • 4×6" — $130

    • 5×7" — $170

    • 8×10" — $250

  2. Choose Your Add Ons
    • Additional Pet (8×10 only): +$50

    • Full Body (8×10 only): +$50

    • Rush order: +$50 (1 week or less turnaround + shipping)

  3. Send Your Photos
    • I’ll need at least two clear, well-lit, high-quality photos of your pet to capture their true personality and coloring. Natural light and eye-level shots work best!

  4. Deposit and Timeline
    • A 50% deposit starts your portrait, with the remaining balance due once the final image is approved. Standard turnaround is two weeks, but rush orders are available.

  5. Approval and Shipping
    • I’ll send a photo of your finished piece for confirmation before shipping. Once your remaining balance is paid, your portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped to its forever home.
